Why Hindi Will Define Tech's Future

1.4 billion people speak Hindi. 300+ million speak it natively.

Yet most tech is built for English speakers. Most APIs have English documentation. Most programming tutorials are in English.

This is a design failure.

India is the world's fastest-growing tech market. Soon, more developers will code in Hindi than English. But the infrastructure isn't ready.

This is changing. Google Translate improved Hindi. GitHub is translating documentation. Coding tutorials exist in Hindi now.

But we're still thinking about this backwards. Hindi isn't a translation layer. It's a first-class language for innovation.

Imagine a developer in Delhi building a product. She thinks in Hindi. She codes in English frameworks. That's cognitive friction.

What if the best frameworks, the clearest documentation, the most intuitive APIs were designed first for Hindi speakers? Then adapted to English.

We'd probably build better things.

Language shapes possibilities. English shaped early tech toward certain patterns. Hindi would shape it differently.

Different abstractions. Different terminology. Different ways of modeling problems.

The future of tech isn't English + translations. It's multilingual from the foundation.

Learning Hindi to build better tech isn't a side quest. It's essential.
